Service Quality
The Private Health Sector in Portugal still has a long way to go as regards the necessary quality of the service provided to its Users. In actual fact, the need:
- for more interventive regulation and more appropriate certification of providers;
- for a definition of protocols and guidelines determined by the Health Ministry and sponsored by the Doctors’ Association;
- for greater assertiveness between the anticipated, tried and tested quality of the services,
are and shall be the most critical success factors for the Private System Users.
AdvanceCare in this context of high fragmentation of the service provided by the entities involved, to wit:
- Financiers and Payers;
- Providers;
- Regulators, Associations and Orders,
it has a never-ending quest for the necessary harmony of procedures which allow the minimization of systemic dysfunctions of the Private Health Sector.
Hence, since January 2009, AdvanceCare is the first paying entity of the Private Health with all services being certified by the Norma ISO 9001:2008.
